About

Howdy,

I always kind of freeze up existential style whenever I write bios. Like, who AM I? Take away my name and my profession, and what's left? The things I like? The people I love? The circumstances I was raised in?? Ew.

I go by Fern online and I am almost 30 years old. My pronouns are they/she. I have a variety of creative interests and hobbies, but my strongest one is probably drawing.

I made this site a place to show anything I want, without having to worry about professionalism as much.

Here are some lists of media I like, in no specific order:

5 Movies/Shows I Like
The Last of Us- I liked it better than the game. More fleshed out characters imo. Game is still good tho don't kill me
American Psycho- I know it's a red flag movie, I can explain!! He's just like me fr fr
Whisper of the Heart- A movie about being a creative. I remember really resonating with it at the time, but it's been a bit. I wonder if it still holds.
Lord of the Rings- Just the original trilogy though, I didn't care as much for the Hobbit. I love the characters, the sets, the fight scenesā€¦ It's just a solid set of fantasy movies. If there's a better fantasy movie lmk because I think these are peak.
Avatar: the Last Airbender- I mean, c'mon. It's such a hit it's almost not even worth mentioning. Great characters, interesting plot, unique settingsā€¦ if you haven't seen it yet you really should.
5 Video Games I Like
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask- It's such a fun and eerie little game. You collect a bunch of masks that all have different powers. Probably has the most intriguing characters in any Zelda game but I won't die on that hill.
Fallout New Vegas- I love a good exploration-based game to begin with, but this one checked so many boxes for me. Weird technology? Check. Eerie ruins with backstories to explore? Check. Bisexuality? Check. What more could a man want?
Super Mario Sunshine- Bro those levels and the F.L.O.O.D mechanics were so fun. I think also picking a theme and sticking to it helped things feel more cohesive rather than the misc. piles of levels in something like Mario Odyssey (which is still a fun game don't kill me).
Baldur's Gate 3- I've never played anything quite like it before, although that could be because I don't play a lot of strategy games. But it has an expansive role-playing story line with so many outcomes, and there's just endless ways to play it. I think it's good for players of pretty much any experience level.
Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life- It was hard picking my favorite farming game, I think modern players might have a better time getting into something like Stardew Valley because it has a lot more options on how to play it. But AWL just has a certain charm to it. I like the aesthetics of it better, I like the music better, I like that it has an end goal and that you age alongside your community. I'd like to see another farming game like this one day.
